-HISTORY-
Michael Original® is a Mexican company that had its origins in a Tijuana area known as Rancho Alegre -Happy Ranch- in 1966. It was founded by the late Ana María Vázquez, a former expert in all areas of the shirt business. She worked for many years in a US clothing company in the city of Los Angeles, and later moved to Tijuana to open her own custom shirt shop and named it after her son, Michael.
Her successful business gave employment to many women in the custom shirt industry, and her training helped them hone the skills necessary to put together the finest handmade shirts possible.
Michael Original® was later moved to the downtown area of Tijuana in order to be more accessible to customers who wanted to experience all the benefits of wearing a custom made shirt.
After Ana Vázquez retired, her son, Michael, continued with all the professionalism, tradition and hard-working values his mother started, and went on to become an expert shirtmaker himself and the current owner of Michael Original®.
